ABOUT CAROLYN ORDOÑEZ

Carolyn is a first-generation Colombian-American actress and Los Angeles native. At 9 years old, she auditioned and became a part of the prestigious St. Charles Borromeo choir led by world-renowned and Grammy-nominated director of the LA Master Chorale, Paul Salamunovich. There for the next 4 years, Carolyn discovered her love for singing and music. She even learned to sing in Latin.

At the age of 11, Carolyn joined the Art of the Dance Academy, where she was trained in dancing, singing, modeling, and acting. There, Carolyn met and performed with Katherine McPhee and was vocally trained by Katherine's mom and American Idol vocal coach, Peisha McPhee. That is also where Carolyn got her bug for acting. Her first theatrical audition was for the Summer play, and she booked the lead. Carolyn was hooked, and her teachers said she was a natural-born performer.

Carolyn was also involved with the arts at Providence High School in Burbank, while training as a dancer at the prestigious dance studio, Millenium Dance Complex. Accomplished choreographer, Kelly Devine, worked on one of the high school's productions and encouraged Carolyn to dance professionally. So she did and went on to audition for some of the biggest acts in music, trained with top choreographers, and worked as a dancer in commercials, television, live shows, and films.
